Muhammad Ali Syed, Chief Executive Officer
Muhammad Ali Syed is the founder and CEO of Mingora Consult – MENA’s Restaurant Performance Company. Ali is former Head of Marketing for Fortune 250 Restaurant Brands such as KFC and Pizza Hut at Yum! MENA (Revenue: $1Bn), Long John Silver’s at Yum! US ($800MM) and for Wendy’s Asia-Pacific and EMEA regions ($250MM.)
Ali is a leading voice in MENA’s restaurant industry and an influential speaker at industry forums. He is well connected to most c-suite leaders in the region including franchisees, franchisors, retail groups, and private equities. He also proudly hosts an F&B Leaders Dinner Series, influencing F&B strategy in GCC.
At Yum! Ali won numerous citations including the CEO Award, Long John Silver’s President’s Award, and Pizza Hut CMO Award. Previously, Ali has worked in marketing and brand positions at Unilever and Shell.
Syed Saad Abdullah, Managing Director
Syed Saad Abdullah is co-founder and Managing Director at Mingora. Saad is a driven commercial leader with experience of overdriving growth for multimillion dollar businesses across segments and geographies. Adept at managing portfolios/brands, and turning around problem categories. Proven track record of delivering long term sustainable growth and market shares through employing a mix of strategic fundamentals, consumer insights and a strong bias for action.
Saad has worked in blue chip FMCG companies such as Reckitt Benckiser and Kimberley Clark. Currently at Mingora, Saad handles all major commercial and operational decisions. He is also an embedded consultant at Bausch Health – where he performs the duties of Business Unit Head.
